The School’s Admission Policy

The children are generally admitted in Nursery when they are in the age group of 3 years as on 31st March. The Registration for admission to this class is open in the month of January every year.

The admission to all other classes depends upon the availability of seats every year and Registration is also open at that time.

All students of class 5th of routinely get admitted in class 6th in our school. Apart from this, we admit students in classes from 6th to 9th and 11th depending on the number of vacancies available.

At the Vidya Bhawan Public School we have strived to make our admission process as simple and transparent as possible to ensure that all prospective parents enjoy a stress free application experience.

We strongly believe it is the parent s prerogative to choose the school and not the other way round. That is why we conduct no formal interviews with the child or parent.

Admissions are currently open for the 2013-14 session in Classes 1-7 only. Students will be admitted on First Come, First Served basis so long as vacancies permit.

Admissions to Nursery & KG for the 2013-14 sessions are now closed. Due to excess demand, seats were allocated via an open lottery conducted in September 2012. The results of the lottery are available for viewing here.

Admission Process

All prospective parents are requested to follow these 5 simple steps

1. Attend an Orientation Session [Optional]
We conduct weekly orientation sessions for all classes to give parents an opportunity to interact with the our faculty and learn more about our school through a short presentation and tour. We strongly urge all parents to attend an orientation session in order to make a fully informed decision about your child’s education. Parents who are unable to attend an orientation session or do not wish to may learn more about the school by seeking an appointment with the Admissions Councilor.

2. Submit the Application Form
Parents must submit a fully completed application form and submit the following supporting documents:
Birth Certificate
Immunization History
Residence Proof
Report Card & Transfer Certificate (Not applicable for Nursery applicants)

4. Baseline Survey (Applicable only for Classes 1+)
Upon submission of the duly filled application form a baseline survey of the child is conducted at the school. The purpose of the survey is to establish whether the candidate meets minimum standards for the class.

5. Payment of Fees
Once the above steps are satisfactorily completed parents will receive an admission offer and may pay the applicable fees to confirm admission.
